Alternative to WMM

I have been using WMM for a week and I love video editing but the 1990's
crashing/hangups/freezing has already gotten old. What are some best bet
non-professionally priced software, that is also stabile?

Check out the forums for ALL the consumer software and they are all full of
people asking for help.
Why, people only go to forums when they ahve a problem and NO software is
totally bug free. For millions MM works well. You could try Adobe premiere
elements, Ulead videostudio, Pinnacle studio, vegas but I give no guarantee
that any will be more stable than MM, in particular as you give no clue as
to why you might be having problems with MM.
Crashes caused to problems with incompatible files, such as mp3 are common
across the board, so as long as you know the grass is not always greener on
the other side, good luck.

I have tried all the software mention (except Vegas) and
they are all unstable on one level or another. They
generally don't crash every 5 minutes (like MM seems to) but
they do crash. Basically what it comes down to is
preference. Most of them have trial versions you can
download to try before you spend a bunch of money on them.
