Alternate row Color

A

Adam Wiley

I am having trouble with getting the alternate row colors to work,

I am using a text box on the form which has a control source set to
=rowcount()

The row count procedure simply adds 1 to the last value (using a static
value). The using conditional formating if the rowcount is even set the
background to 12345 if it is odd to 54321.

This works fin until I use the mouse wheel to scrol the list. At this stage
the rowcount goes all over the place and it looks a mess. If I then go
Records-> refresh all is fine again until I scroll again with the wheel.

Any suggestions.

I have tried using lebans A2KConditionalFormatting but the problem is I
don't have a unique field in the table to work with.

Any help anyone can give me would be much appreciated as I have been trying
to figure this one out for days now.

PS I am using access 2000

Problem Sorted.

I found that is I use the " fAlternateRowA([Form])" in the conditional
formating it works a treat.

I am using a for each loop to go through each control on the form and set the
conditional formating.

The only thing I can't get it to do now is to do the formating when a new
record is added

Any further suggestions??

Thanks for the other version. The problem is that I am trying to use the
alternate row in a datasheet view.
If you just want Alternating rows of color for form sin Continuous view then
use the other solution of mine here:
