Alt key "sticky" disable

Does anyone know how to disable the "sticky function of
the Alt key? Which I call "the Alt Lock" feature. If you
inadvertently come in contact with it while trying to hit
the space bar you get unintended results when you
subsequently strike the text or number keys. In the case
of Lotus Notes, if you hit "alt" by mistake and then "a"
and "s" it sends the e-mail you were in the middle of
editing. Would like the Alt key to only function while it
is being pressed rather then toggling on.
Please post the answer wherever this message is posted.
Thanks.

Start, Settings, Control Panel, Accesibility Options, uncheck Use
StickyKeys.

Ideally this would work, but unfortunately this feature is
turned off, but the Alt key still behaves as a "toggle"
or "sticky" key. That's why the IS people here are
stumped on what to do. Best I can tell all computer here
work this way, and my win 98 at home does the same thing.
It will take a more advance approach to make this key
operate differently.
Thanks for responding. Any other suggestions?
Microsoft won't talk to me. There is no way to provide
them product feedback even though I have been using their
products ever since they invented them. Anyone know any
programmer at Microsoft I can call about the Alt key.
Actually the Ctrl-Alt-Del inventor recently received some
acclaim. Perhaps I can find him and he will respond?

You say all computer there have the same problem? Are you in a domain?
Perhaps some policy is being pushed to the workstations from the server?

The mashine talks to the network .. the systems all come
from an image rather than a unique install. However, they
don't have a clue here how to change this. I immagine
that there is a script somewhere in the System that
governs the behavior of each key and with the proper
editor it can be changed to not "stick".

I have the same problem I called it the ALT lock too And This Is Really Annoying And No StickyKey Doesn't Fix Anything.
