Alt key disabled

Over the past couple of days, my alt keys have been
disabled. I have rebooted several times, but I can't use
ctrl-alt-delete or alt-tab. I am a big toggler, and when
I use alt-tab, all it does is act like a regular tab.
Has anyone ever seen this?

Hello!

Are you using Power Toys?

When you install Windows XP Powertoys, it comes with a

program called TaskSwitch.exe designed to enhance the

Alt+Tab task switcher. To disable this feature:-

You go to Start>Run and type: msconfig.

Click the "Startup" tab and uncheck startup item

"taskswitch". Click Start, Run and enter TASKMGR. In

Processes, locate the TaskSwitch process and end it. Your

Alt-Tab will be back to normal.

To manually apply: Go to Start/Run/Regedit and navigate to

this key:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop

"CoolSwitchColumns"
"CoolSwitchRows"

You might want to check the control panel \accessibility options to
see if any special keyboard option has been activated.
