alright i have a strange problem

A few days ago i was on my computer and everything was fine... after updating
windows and norton i lost the ability to move my mouse... however i have
found that if i press any key on the keyboard injunction with moving the
mouse it works... i have uninstalled and reinstalled the driver for the mouse
but with no success.. does anyone know what going on or how to fix it??? and
if not does anyone have a clue of someone who might?

Are we to guess if it is a USB mouse or a PS2 Mouse??

If it is a USB, then try another USB Port and then cold boot. If it is a PS2
then remove it and then plug it back in and reboot.
