I use Outlook on several machines. Sometimes it has been several weeks on
one machine before I move to another. I copy the outlook.pst file onto a
memory stick and replace the outlook.pst file on the other machine.
Normally the machine that I switch to recognizes that the mail in the
outlook.pst file has been downloaded and only the newer messages will be
downloaded. Sometimes this does not work and outlook wants to download all
the files on my earthlink account, which could amount to several hundred.
How does Outlook decide if a file in Inbox has already been downloaded? Is
there some way I can flag the current contents of the inbox as downloaded?
