Already Open Warning Message

Mike Delaney

I have several systems running xp and excel 97. On each,
opening any existing excel document results in a warning
message that indicates that the document is already open,
even though no excel documents have been opened. If I
click ok on the message, the document will open.
However, this is preventing me from attaching to the
spreadsheets to extract data. Any ideas on how to fix
this?
