alphabetize the programs

Hi, I know that the programs that came with my OEM pc are alphabetized (
clicking start> All programs) starting from 'accesorries' all the way
through 'Word perfect' - BUT, the ones that I installed myself arent
alphabetized. I am sure that there should be a way to manually alphabetizing
them or setting it so that it does it all the time automaticcally- I just
dont know how. can you help

Thanks Glenda. I had a feeling that it was not a diffficult task. One more
question. there is a set of programs that are not 'mixed in with the others.
They all have icons. they are all alphabetized within themselves (meaning
the ones that have there own unique icons are alphabetized separetly from
the other ones that show 'windows same icons') why 2 sets of groups
alphabetized? just curious

Thanks so very much for your help-! ! ! !

Throughout XP, including the start menu, folders are sorted first. Then
individual items.

Hi:

The programs that have icons and are separated can also be alphabetized
with others by merely left clicking on them one by one and dragging to the
correct location with others. This way all are properly alphabetized etc.
