Alphabetical Table of Contents ?

Hello -
By any chance, is it possible to create a TOC in Word that's listed
alphabetically, rather than by order of heading appearance ?

NOTE: I'd love to be using the Word Index feature instead (which I believe
sorts alphabetically); only problem is, I need to have hyperlink/boookmark
functionality as well (which is available with the TOC, but I don't believe
is available using the Index feature ?)

So, I'm kind of stuck :( . Any suggestions/help would be most appreciated !

Thanks for your help,
- Matt

The only way that I can thing of to do this would be to unlink the table of
contents (which will destroy the hyperlinking) thent select it and sort it
into alphabetical order and then have a macro that you would run when you
selected an item in the table of contents that would determine the page
number for that item and then go to that page of the document.

Hope this helps.
