alphabetical columns

Hi all,

I have a number of word lists, around 1000 words each, sorted alphabetically.

I would like to create a webpage two columns wide that flows downward for
each letter of the alphabet - for example, the 20 words beginning with letter
A would fill 10 rows of the first column, then the first ten rows of the
second column. Line break, then on to two columns of B lettered words, and
so on down the webpage.

Basicaly, I would like to perform the Format/Columns/Two function that
appears in Word. (I've tried importing a two-column-wide chunk of text from
Word, but it defaults to one column in Frontpage).

All suggestions appreciated.

Thanks, Andrew

There's only three suggestions that you can hope to get in response to your
inquiry.

1.) Go find a free script that can be integrated into your web. Not likely
you will find a script because your objective is quite unusual.

2.) Learn to code.

3.) Hire me or somebody else to code it for you.

I forgot, there is a 4th option...

4.) Forget about it :-)

Web pages do not support wrapping columns w/o custom scripting, and not all Word formatting is applicable to web pages
You could try to create the page in Word (using table columns) and Save as Web page (html)
Then File Import the html file into FP (if you don't mind the bloated html code word generates)

I'm only going to say this one more time as I have told you before to stop
stalking me through the news groups and flaming me with your ridiculous
comments.

This is my last attempt to set you straight. If you do not stop stalking and
flaming me I will be compelled to show you what stalking and flaming will
result in.

Stop stalking me through the news groups.
Stop flaming me.
Stop calling me names.
Mind your own business.
This is your last warning Rusynko.

Why not just format it into a two-column table either in Word or directly in
FP? Don't convert the Word to html, but import the .doc file directly into
FP. That way you will keep your table columns and you will not get bloated
code. That would be a lot simpler than trying to find a script.
