Allowing User Accounts to access a program

How do I allow kids to access a program from their account,
that was installed from my administrator account.
I installed The Sims for them (from my account), but when they
try to play it, it says they need administrator privileges to play it.

How do I get around this? I can't install it for them from their account,
because obviously they have limited access and cannot install programs
from their account.

I don't know if this is the *offical* way, but it is what I do. I change
their acct to admin just long enough for me to install the program... then I
switch it back to limited. That's worked for me.

Not sure that this will work for the Sims 2 as they atate that it will ONLY
run as an administrator. I understand that this is due to the "dodgydisc"
protection that they use to "protect" their CD from copying (Protections
system supplier calls it "Safedisc", only they could call a system safe when
it makes others unsafe but then that is a conundrum that spells money. (By
the way I do not copy disks and have bought two copies of sims at full
retail price, so my beef is not with having to buy, but with dodgy
software.)

You can use the "run as" and create a hidden adminstrator account that will
only allow use as a "run as" access to a program.

Not sure of the details now but a google search for "Able2play" should get
you the full details, otherwise, anyone care to moan at the sellers of
"dodgy soft" software, not a complaint about Microsoft this time they got
it right, games companies do not appear to understand how systems SHOULD be
used.

EA offered to buy back my copies of Sims 2 rather than expain their attitude
computer missuse.
