Allow headers to always stay in portrait orientation

Doesn't look like Word has this capability. I'm working with a very large
document that is in portrait orientation but that contains a number of pages
that are tables in landscape orientation. I'm using headers (with a
different header for each section) and want ALL headers at the top of the
page when the reader is looking at the bound document (or at a PDF version of
the doc). Currently, headers for the landscape pages are coming out on what
is the SIDE when the document is printed and all pages bound together. The
only way I can find around this is to paste text boxes onto each landscape
page to simulate headers where I want them, which is extremely cumbersome.

Please, someone correct me if there is already a way to do this -- and let
me know how to do it!

Thanks!

Thanks Graham,

I've resorted to using text boxes, but didn't realize I could create one
from within the header, move it around the page, and still have it act like a
header. This will definitely help.

I still think Microsoft should address this issue in future versions of
Word, however...
