I would appreciate the option of protecting pictures posted to a web page
from being copied or downloaded by the viewer.
It seems this could be a feature added to future releases of FrontPage.

It has nothing to do with FrontPage and simply isn't possible. In the
future? Who knows..but today's technology doesn't allow it.

simply can't be done. if it shows up on the visitor's screen, that's it.
anything you could possibly do wouldn't help if someone _really_ wanted it.

Simply don't put the image on the Internet and it wont be copied or
downloaded.
For obvious reasons an image (along with the rest of the page) has to be
downloaded so the user can see it.

A lot of people would, but it ain't gonna happen.

It seems this could be a feature added to future releases of FrontPage.

Not really. FP can't change the function of browser behavior (files need
to be downloaded to be viewed).

it won't help - everytime you view a page, the page is downloaded to your machine
to the web cache, including images. the only way to stop them being copied is
not to put them on the web
