Allocating unallocated disk space

Hello. I have a 50 GB Hard disk...15GB are allocated to the C: drive, and
35GB are allocated to the D: drive. How do I consolidate these drives so
they are one C: drive with 50GB?

You can't do it natively in Windows XP without starting a new install
and format. 3rd party programs will do it non destructively. One is
Partition Magic from Symantec. Another is Bootit NG which has a 30 day
full feature trial version.

I would most strongly suggest *Don't*. Keep the system together and
taut and there is some hope of being able to back it up and restore in
case of need without damaging data on the other one. But make sure data
*is* on the other - move your My Documents by opening a My Computer
window on
C:\Documents and settings\you\ to show it, another on D: and *right*
drag across, taking *Move* here. Same with other 'My' folders. Also
put the Outlook Express Store folder there (at OE Tools - Options,
Maintenance, click the button); and Temporary Internet Files - in
Control Panel - Internet Options, click on Settings and Move Folder.
