all of a sudden cannot recieve

About a week ago my father informed me that when he tried to send me an
email, he got a message saying he couldn't because my inbox was filled. So i
cleared it all up but for a week now I still have not been able to recieve
any emails even though I am not getting any error messages. It has always
worked before and I have not changed anything. Help?

Also, I've never been able to send emails even though I filled in the server
info like my provider said.
 
Are you running an AntiVirus application that scans your email? This would
be my first suspect, since it involves both sending and receiving (the
"inbox full" message your father got referred to the incoming message space
you've been given by your ISP on their POP server).
