all-in-one in an office setting

Somebody I know wants to switch from a seperate copier and printer to an
all-in-one for her office. She has an HP at home she likes and the office
machines are dying, but I wonder if she can constantly make 30-50 copies
and have the thing hold up? Any suggestions for a durable unit?

as a user, I've seen the best uptime percentages from real Xerox copiers.
I don't know if they are inherently more reliable, or if Xerox is just
better at getting customers to sign up for service plans.

As to whether an all-in-one will work depends on things like how many
people will be sharing it. Can people wait to print while someone is
copying or faxing?

Most models are rated for some number of sheets/month which will give you
at least a comparative measure of speed/durability.

I have a couple of HP All-in-One printers. One at the office and one at
home.

We average 50 to 75 copies "per month" at the office, so not a whole
lot. But we've had no problems with it what soever. We print about
3,000 sheets a month on it and it handles that with ease.

At home I make about 10 copies a month and print 400 to 500 labels and
about 1,000 sheets a month.

For heavier volume, I don't think it would be cost effective, however.
