All folder views - how to show file details?

For Windows Explorer, how can I set all folder views for the entire computer
to show the file details (rather than, for example, showing thumbnails)?

XP x64

Thanks,

Open your my computer. Where you should be looking at A: C: D: etc
drives. Click view on the tool bar then details.
Now the top level is set properly.
Then click tools -> Folder options -> view tab.
Click the 'Apply to all Folders' Then Okay and exit.
Should be set.

via SWAG Method: In Explorer highlight something like My Documents, Clk View,
and then Details. Then Clk Tools/Folder Options/View tab/ Apply to All
Folders. Per the verbiage there that should do it - Hope so.
