All-day events incorrectly changed to multiday????

When I opened Outlook today, all of my existing all-day events had been
changed into multiday-events (spanning two days- the day before and the
actual event day). Everything was normal last night, so I don't know what
triggered the change. Any ideas on:

1) why this happened, so I can prevent it from reoccuring?
2) how to switch everything back to the way it was, without manually editing
each entry?

Any help or insight would be much appreciated! This unexpected change
effects hundreds of events, and is very distrubing.
