Hi

As i think i understand it is possible to make the complete install process localized to different languages.

Currently i can localize it to several languages using the property in the install project, but Danish is not among the languages.

Does anyone here know how i can make danish a possibillity here?

I think it's something with a merge module, but i can't seem to find any comprehensive material on the subject..

Hello Finn,

I used to want to use Swedish in the installation but I gave up...

Here is what Mr. David Guyer says about it:
that's really hard to do, but it is doable.

Basically, you need to make a copy of a bunch of Windows Installer files
on the VS 2005 installation to a new folder with the LCID of the
language you want to localize it to. Then, you have to edit those files,
using a tool like Orca, and translate ALL the strings in those dialogs.
There's quite a few.

You need to do that for each language.

As you can tell, we didn't really design setup projects to be easily
adaptable for additional languages. It's something that I think will
have value if we are able to improve this.

If you choose to pursue this, I can help you a bit along the way.

Hi Anders

I've read the link and did some other search based on what i found and i have now successfully made a Danish locale to the
Deployment Project Setup...

It was actually not that difficult and mostly some translation work, that was the biggest effort...

The reconfiguration of VS2010 and so was not that comprehensive and is easily done...

Made my first install with all danish guides and text.. Nice..

Thanks again for you hint. It worked out great...
