Aligning text on a pre-printed form

Help !!!

I am trying to put numeric answers (dollar amounts) on a pre printed form.
I am having great success with the tab settings as far as horizontal
alignment, However, the vertical alignment is the challange. My boss keeps
telling me he is going to buy me a typewriter (yuck!!!)....please Help

Building a document to print unto an existing paper form is not fun! :)

You might want to setup a couple of table cells (or one huge table) with
fixed height and width. It usually takes a couple of printouts to get
this sort of work right (or a _very_ careful measurment and design ...).

If the form was properly designed to be filled out using a typewriter (6
lpi), then the best success is achieved by setting the line spacing to
Exactly 12 pts (single spacing) or 24 pts (double spacing).
