Please,
Now I'm using Windows Mail for participate on certain newsgroups.
Pointing to threads and articles with colors and bold face
are helpful features.

Is it possible to get alerts automatically,
when such new bold or red headers show up?

Is it possible, that 'synchronize all' is done in certain intervals?

I have also a hotmail address and I think also a Live Id.
Would this be helpful for me?

Thank you so much for tips

You can't get alerts, but you can set the news account to check when "check
for messages" is done at the interval set at tools>options>check for
messages every ###, by selecting the box at tools>accounts>news
account>properties>include this account when checking for new mail.
HTH?

For me they show up only by marking threads I've started in
red. Threads I've answered aren't marked. Unread messages
are marked in bold face.

I think so.

Not in Windows Mail. You could download and install Windows
Live Mail, where you cane use at least the Hotmail address:

It's newer than what was included in Vista. Microsoft is
apparantly planning to replace Windows Mail with
Windows Live Mail.

And how I uninstall Windows Mail and delete the unused data?
My OS is Vista Ultimate.

Windows Mail is part of Vista and very hard to uninstall without
uninstalling the rest of Vista too. Windows Live Mail helps you
hide it, though. Delete the shortcut icons to it if that isn't enough.

You may, however, want to delete the email and newsgroup
accounts under Windows Mail so it won't do anything if you
start it accidentally.
