Alert sound

I'm having a problem with the alert sound. It's don't
work when someone connect and when I receive e-mail or
message. What's the problem? All the options is checked
to work. Please, help me!!!

To fix this, download and run these .reg files (just download and choose Run)
http://messenger.jonathankay.com/downloads/dingfix.reg
http://messenger.jonathankay.com/downloads/wm_soundfix.reg

Note: in the last .reg file, if your Messenger installation isn't in C:\, you'll need to open
it in Notepad and change the drive letter.

After these are imported, reboot, then log back in and see if the sounds now work.
