Hello,

Is there a way, we can setup alerts for user, when his pst file is
approaching towards 1GB size.
We get lot of tickets about pst file corruption and sometimes we cannot even
repair it with scanpst.exe tool.

Thanks

Kirit

Kirit,

There is a reg key you can add to Outlook 2003 that will allow you to warn
users in this scenario. Which version of Outlook are you using?

Thanks

Thanks Greg, we are using Outlook2000.

.
You can set the limits on your email server and it will
notify when they are approaching the limit. In my office
if they proceed over the limit, I have it setup where they
can't send. You can also set it so that they can't
receive. However; they seemed to like that because
supervisors could not send them work. But when
you "interfere" with their sending ability, they quickly
clean it up.

Mike,

i think you are referring to main Mailbox.
I am talking about personal folder, which has nothing to do with exchange
server.

Thanks

kirit
