AIM Starting

LMO

Every time I start OE, AOL Instant Messanger starts up. I have unchecked
this option in both OE and AIM, but it still starts up when I start OE. Is
there a way to prevent this?

Start -> Run
Type in "msconfig" (without the quotes)

Click on the "Startup" tab.

Uncheck the AIM checkbox.

There is no AIM (or other AOL type) checkbox in Startup. I have already
unchecked the boxes in OE Options and in AIM itself, and the bugger still
keeps starting up with OE!

It does make a difference.

Open AIM. Go to preferences and uncheck: "Make AIM my default instant
messaging program", and turn off the Contacts Pane.
