I spent all day downloading various messages and files using a News Rover
news client.

I installed DIVX codecs and player.

I then found BOTH DVD players would not work.

I followed MS instructions for removing 2 registry keys for the DVD filters.

The DVD players now work.

ALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL
News groups and messages I downloaded after march 9 are gone.

The folders are gone!

I am very unhappy.

This make no sense.


I am concerned for what other files no longer exist.

I can almost understand a registry error that included a rollback.

But WHY are the folders/files gone. I used windows explorer before opening
New Rover.

THE FOLDERS ARE GONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
