AGP 8x in Geforce 4800SE

I read something on the other cards (like mx) on other questions, and someone answer that the mx could not me compatible.. but my card (xFx GeForce 4 TI 4800 SE) says everywhere I read its capable of AGP 8x and Fast-write (FW) and bandside addressing (BA), but in my nVidia's configuration set I can't put it on 8x it always falls back to PCI mode, (and unchecks the FW and BA)
My Fps in some games (like UT or RTCW: Enemy Territory) are at around 50-80 in 1024x768x32 when the map is "light", if it as many things the FPS goes to 20-3
Anti-aliasing is off, and Anisotropic too (if I enable them the games are so sloo that its not gameble

My PC:
Intel P4 2.6GHz with Hyper-Threading
512Mb Dual DDR memory
Motherboard Asus P4P800
SO Windows XP SP1
Drivers nVidia 52.16 detonator (can't install latest or grater because of PunkBuster not XP,card problems i think)

Thanks for who responds :)

Hi,
You could try here http://go.to/geforcefaq I assume you have all the latest
motherboard drivers installed whatever is appropriate for the Asus P4P800.
