After installing SP2, my infrared doesnt work

After installing SP2, the com port allocated to my infrared has gone. When I
try to run the infra red, it says it's being run by another program. Can
another help me out of this? Thanks!

In another newsgroup, a user solved the same problem by going into his
appropriate bios setting (changing the com port to infrared, I believe).

I finally solved the problem. It is the Norton Internet Security that
interferes the connection of the infra red. Once I allowed back the infra red
connection setting in the Norton Internet Security, it works fine. Thanks
David!
