After installing SP2 Control Panel will not open

After installing SP2 when I try to open the Control Panel I get the following
error message: Explorer.exe Application Error The instruction at
"0X01fa9e56" referenced memory at "0X00000000" The memory could not be
written.

After installing SP2 when I try to open the Control Panel I get the following

"0X01fa9e56" referenced memory at "0X00000000" The memory could not be
written.

I get this also. Same error, different number but same address of "0x00000000".
Does it happen when opening any other window, ie: "My Computer" or Internet
Explorer? Mine does. I have tried removing spyware and bad shell extentions. The
only solution for me was to uninstall SP2 by going: Start->Run-> type
"appwiz.cpl" and hit enter. It's another way into the add/remove programs in the
Control Panel.
