After deleting outlook data file in explorer,how to update ipod.

How do you syncronize your calendar on your iPod after deleting your first
outlook data file through explorer, while having another data file.
 
Is the iPod syncing or just getting a copy of what's in Outlook?
 
I don't know, but I think that it is syncing, because outlook has to be open.
