after deleting message from the inbox view

How do I change the focus order of the next email in the inbox after deleting
an email from the inbox view?
Right now after deleting a message, the focus goes to the most recent
message and I need it to go to the previous email. The sort order is on date
received but, not the cause of the problem.

Click Tools>Options>E-mail Options and in the "After moving or deleting an
open item" drop-down, select "open the previous item". Now, that wasn't so
hard, was it?

Thanks Brian.

I did not give all the information. The messages were not being open. I
was deleting unopen messages from the inbox. However, with the option set to
"open the previous item", after deleting a message it would go to the newest
message. After setting the option to "Return to the inbox", it would go to
the previous message. I guess it works in reverse if you don't open the
message.
