I am using MS Access to query a large database. Due to this, I sometimes
create interim tables to use in the query process. When I have retrieved the
final result, I will delete these somewhat large tables. The problem I am
encountering is that the file size for the database expands with each table I
have built, but does not decrease with the deletion of these interim tables.
This causes the file to grow large and take up a lot of disk space. My answer
in the past is to copy my queries to a new database and then delete the old.
This tends to manage the file size, but as my query list grows the task is
becoming time consuming. Any suggestions would be helpful. Thanks.
