After applying SP4, W2K Server slow performance

After i had applying the SP4, the server browsing becomes
slow and application running on top of SQL 2000 on
another server also slow because of this. I do not know
microsoft had tightened the security or not but it appear
quite slow after the patch and somehow application just
staying in the queue for a while. This will not happen
before the patch. I cannot reversed back to Service pack
3 because it was not allowed me to do so. I hope
microsoft can come out the real solution for the patch
especially it tried to patch for the mlast.exe virus.

Anybody can help?.....
