After applying SP2, I cannot use the mouse while recording a macr.

On Windows XP, after applying service patch 2, I have not be able to use the
mouse to navigate a word document while recording a macro.
 
The macro recorder has never recorded mouse movements, only mouse actions.
That is, if you use the mouse to click on a menu item or toolbar button,
that action can be recorded. But selecting text or moving to a different
point in the document will not be recorded.
