After 10 generations of Windows, how to search for files in Vista?

I want to search for file (in this case of type .DOC or .DOCX) by its content.
For generations of Windows this was a trivial task. I could even qualify the
file by type, dates, size, which path to look for, etc.
I didn't believe my eyes when I could not do it in Vista.
What am I missing?

Dunno - mine finds contents of files......
