Is this the "Outlook Killer" that was promised to the Windows community
a couple of years ago?

Might be worth the download...

Did you hear the one about the dyslexic, agnostic, insomniac?
He would stay up late every night and wonder if there was a dog.
Remove yourhat to reply ... but it
may take a while. Best to go to www.mistergeek.com and reply from
there. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Oh my. This one looks really nice. Really, *really*, REALLY nice. Going
to put this one through the works, that's for sure.

I like the "looks" too and have d/l'd it. I'd be interested to hear your
experience with it after you use it awhile. The install and setup went
easily for me (xp home).

Actually, I'm somewhat disappointed after the first five minutes of
use. As far as I can tell there are no way to import any data. Re-
inputting the big bunch of data I have in other calendars, to-do-lists
and address books manually is not a very tempting task. Still, I'll put
in a little to give this a spin.

Have I been dozing, or have you been away for a loooong time? Assuming
the latter, welcome back, and I hope Bad Stuff wasn't behind the hiatus.

They mention Python scripting and additional plugins will become available
later (including 3rd-party plugins, I guess).

Some of these plugins might be payware though...

Somebody *always* say that when I post here these days. :D

I suppose I should be flattered, but still...

No, not really. I'm always here, I'm just not all that talkative all
the time. Besides, I've been busy trying out and rejecting new
newsreaders. Oh, and pretending to be a student. Almost forgot that.

Unless you count upgrading from 850 MHz to 3200 MHz, I don't think
so... Then again, that only left me down for about half a day.

Ah. Scripting is good. Python scripting is plus good. I've been meaning
to learn Python for a while now. Really.

It looks to me as though *all* plugins will be payware, but I might be
wrong. I sure hope so.

If the university buys it, that's all that counts.

Woo! Nice jump.

I tried it yesterday and found it very cumbersome to use, especially the
calendar. The best part was the Notes section -- I wish I could have that
alone.

Then you might want to keep an eye on Chandler too; a similar program, but
written entirely in Python... :)

I'm sure they will sell several plugins (The Kompany is a commercial
company after all), but other people can write their own plugins for free
if they want...
