How did you turn aero or aero glass on in windows vista because when i
install it it isnt all ready on and i want to know how you can turn it on and
also how can you turn readyboost on please

You can turn on Aero Glass by doing the following - Right Click on the
Desktop and click Personalize. Click Visual Appearance ->Open Classic
Appearance Properties. Ensure that Windows Cista Aero is selected and click
OK. Now click the checkbox next to Enable Transparent Glass and click OK.
You should now have the Glass effect enabled. You can enable ReadyBoost by
inserting a compatible USB Drive and selecting ReadyBoost under its
properties page.

I tried what you have advised below but I can't even find Open Classic
appearance Properties.
Can you tell me what is wrong?

When Vista installs it checks your graphics card for the ability to run "Aero
Glass" if your system can't run it it does not even appear on the list.

To check out your system Click Start, Control Panel. In lower left of the
Window is a paragraph that says "Check your computers Windows System
Performance Rating" Click on that and it will show you your rating number
among other things. I have a rating of 2 and can not run aero. I suspect you
need a 3 or higher. Also you can run the rating again by clicking "refresh my
rating now" just below your current rating.

I have 2 and I have aero + glass. You just need a supported video card for
glass...Ratings depends on many things and your video card is just one of
them

And now I know why - color setting was at 16 bit - set it highest 32 bit
Aero option appears
