aero does not activate anymore

the aero used to work perfectly before. i changed the windows theme to the
best performance for a few days. later when i tried to change back to windows
aero theme, it only switches to windows basic. i have windows vista home
premium and my computer specs are:

core 2 duo 2.16 GHz T5850 processor
4 gb ram
256 mb dedicated ati 3450 graphics card

my computer shows a windows experience rating of 4.0.
any help will be greatly appreciated.
probably there is a conflict between aero and some program but i cant figure
it out.

Please repost in a forum supporting your version of Windows. This newsgroup is
for the database software Microsoft Access; the webpage can be confusing and
may have misled you.

Beside asking to a dedicated Windows newsgroup as suggested by John, one
possibility for you would be to use the System Restore functionality of
Vista; if it's activated on your system, of course.
