Hmm... You can give Adaware, SpyBot, Superantispyware, BugHunter (I'm it's
author...), or several other applications a shot at detection and possibly
removal. Have you tried submitting a Hijackthis log to any forums?

i looked at the google search .. and lavasoft forums.. don't have time
tonight, but will try to follow their suggestions on removal this weekend...
