I have old system. It was bought in 1999. Currently I have upgraded it
to XP from 98. The monitor is very old. 15 inch crt.
I am planning to go for Viewsonic 19 inch monitor.
How I know if my cyrrent video card is copmatible with new viewsonic
monitor which will have high resoultions. I believe my vedio card is
intel 82810E but I am not sure.
How to check the video card?
I need to do some homework before I buy costly monitor. Any advise or
help will be appreciated.

depending on the memory, there's a chance that the card will do the
resolution, but only at lowered colour quality - maybe even only 256 colour.
need to know the resolution of the monitor, and the type of card.
