Advise versus advice

Why does WORD keep telling me the change advise to advice in any sentence
that contains "please advise"?
 
And in the sentence "Please advise...", advise is the verb and yet the WROD
grammar checker always flags advise and wants to change it to advice.
 
.... which indicates that spell check has the same problem as I had, the first
time I read the original message. :-)
