Advice if 2003 and 2007 are both installed.

In another thread in this group, I was told that the only problems that
occur are if you're USING both, not just having them present on the machine.
I discovered that 2003 is still on my machine. I have 2003 databases. But
I have opened 2007 Access and run it. Is it too late to go back to 2003?
Is there somewhere that I can see the exact problems resulting from using
both releases?

I use 2 versions of Access. What I need to do, to open a database with a
different version, is open the version of Access itself from my Programs
list and choose my database from there. After I have done it once, I can
then go back to double-clicking on the file. I swap back and forth at will.
I don't know if acc2007 is different.

My understanding, from some professional developers (no longer accessible to
me) is that it IS different. Another opinion is in this newsgroup, in a
thread called "Going back to 2003 from 2007." That's why I want to hear
from people who have actually experienced it. When I look on the web, I
don't see any specific problems except for a time lag loading registry
entries when you switch between 2003 and 2007. And a question about whether
correct entries are re-loaded. Sounds too scary to experiment with.

Does anyone out there know for sure what the problems are if you switch
between 2003 and 2007??

Yes, there is a time lag and there are reports that the A2007
Developer Extensions get lost but that's all I recall about going
between A2007 and previous versions. I do that myself about once a
week or five times a day depending.
