I can be using any program on my computer and while I am
in the process there will be 5 up to 7 adds that appear
on my screen with microsoft internet explorer. This just
started. I am running Microsoft XPdvertisement and do not
know how to do it. HELP

The cause may be some parasite.

Remove all the parasites on your computer.
Delete all the spywares and bad BHOs from your system.

I use this HOSTS file.
The best way is to block the server from tracking you in the first place
Blocking Ads with a Hosts File and AdShield. Under the Security Tab download
the hosts.zip file.
