Advanced e-mail options, autocomplete function

In Outlook, when I go to the Tools menu and click on Options, then go to
General and click on E-mail, I don't see an advanced e-mail button to click
on when I'm trying to turn on autocomplete function. Am I in the right place
for this? For some reason Outlook periodically stops checking e-mail
addresses against address book . . .

You didn't say what version of Outlook you're using.

Thanks, Sue-- Outlook 2003. I found the advanced e-mail options button. The
box that says Suggest names when completing To: Bcc: etc, is checked, so I'm
still confused as to why Outlook's not offering suggestions when I start to
type in a name.

The autocomplete list (.nk2 file) could either be corrupted or not have any matching entries yet. It has nothing to do with the address book.

Delete the .nk2 file associated with your mail profile, and Outlook should start building a new one from the messages you send.
