Advance Slide Show with keyboard

Hi,

I have a 43 page slideshow that I need to control of a user uses the
keyboard to advance the slides.

My problem is that at various places, we use a button with a hyperlink back
to a menu page of buttons.

If a user uses the arrow or spacebar, it just goes straight to the next
slide and not to the Menu slide.

How can I fix it so that the keyboard takes you back to the Menu slide in
certain places?

Hi Tricia

A few thoughts:
- entering the number of a slide then enter takes you to that slide, so you
could have your menu slide as slide number 2 then hitting 2+enter will take
you there
- you can navigate around hyperlinks on a slide using the tab key, hit enter
when you get to the one you want
- as far as I'm aware you cannot disable the 'move forward with arrow keys'
thing unless you use kiosk view (available from the slide show->set up show
dialogue box)
- for more in show keyboard shortcuts, press F1 when in slide show view

Hope that helps :)

Hi,

Thanks so much for the help. I have tried everything I can think of, but
did not try tie Kiosk yet. Will give that a try.

Have a great day !

If you use kiosk view and put one action button on each slide (with an
appropriate action - next slide / goto slide menu etc) then pressing tab
followed by enter will move the show on to the correct slide. Bit clumsy I
know but I think its the only way if you must use the keyboard.
