Advance fliter; filtering Blanks

Hi everyone,

I an filter mutilple columns in excel, but what a need to do is flite
certain criteria and also look for the blanks within this range:

i.e. I have a number of people you place orders and use there inital
to identify who placed the order, then place a date when the order wa
completed. What i require to do is look up certain peoples intials i
one team and then the fliter the date field for blanks.

So really this question should be what does excel reconginise as blank
in advanced fliter
 
You can for instance use a formula as criteria, assume the dates start in B3

=B3=""

assume the formula is in E2

criteria range would then be

$E$1:$E$2

leaving E1 blank
