?? advance filter out certain field

I would like to inquire how to exclude certain field in a column using
advance criteria.

For example:

Item
A
B
C
ABCD
ABCD
AB
A

I would like to have the list excluding ABCD using advance filter.
Please kindly advise what should be the criteria?

is it "<> ABCD"?

Wouldn't it be easier to just try it?

But I'd leave the space character out of the string (and you're not typing the "
marks, right?)
