adsl connexant accessrunner modem: line drops, need to reboot?

i have a connexant adsl usb modem that was installed by the ISP people.
last month.

this modem or other hard or software causes line drops after +/-4 hours
that cannot be solved without reboot! i see messages like "ccapp.exe bad
image" or "not enough resources to perform action, "emule cannot find
udp port", or i find an empty start/menu progs, .... weirdo.

don't really know if it is the modem, looking for solutions.
i have uninstalled the modem, unplugged it, rebooted, reinstalled the
software (as specified in the manual, soft first then hard), replugged
the modem then reinstalled the drivers etc...
works fine for another period of 4 to 5 hours then the line drops and i
can't reconnnect if i do not reboot?


my specs: P4 at 2.4 on GIGABYTE 8PE667Ultra + 1GB DDRam333 + 2x20 + 40
+ 2x80 at 7200rpm + ATI Radeon 8500/128mb + Sony TRV 320 camcorder +
philips toucam pro + pinnacle DC10 + pyro dv IEEE 1394 under Win XP
ProSP1 updated

I am no expert, but your problem, as you have described it, appears to be
hardware-related.
