There is no real conversion from PDF back to source.

In general, the path from source document to PDF is one way. Your job will
be much easier if you return to the source Word document and make your
changes there.

That said, with some work, you can re-create your source document. Using the
full version of Acrobat, you can save to RTF and export graphics. But you
should expect to spend some time at this.

I did come across a utility for converting PDF files to some sort of word
processor file. (I really don't remember if it was Word or not.)

If you have Adobe Acrobat (not the reader) your can convert
a pdf to a Word document. OmniPage Pro will also do this
conversion.
