Hello,

I have a user that is attempting to take an image in Adobe 7.0 full version,
selct it and copy it into PowerPoint. One this user selectes the image, they
can paste it into Word just fine and then copy from Word into PowerPoint
without a problem. The problem they are having is they can't copy it
directly from Adobe 7.0 full to PowerPoint directly. If anyone has seen this
issue and has solved it, please let me know. If you have seen this issue and
can thing of anything to try, also let me know.

Thanks,

Someone reading this group might know the answer (and sorry, I don't)
but you might have a better chance of getting expert attention from
someone in one of the MS Office (or PowerPoint) newsgroups. Here's a
list of all the MS newsgroups:

Best GUESS as an MS Office user is that there are conversion
routines in Office's various components. Evidently, the
conversion routines are working in Word and not in
Powerpoint. Since images would be compatible with both
programs, it would be logical that a file could be converted
in either.

My BEST bet would be for you to UNINSTALL Office (that would
delete EVERYTHING, run the various utilities to thoroughly
clean the registry etc, then reinstall Ms Office FULL
install. This would reinstall all the conversion routines in
all the components of Ms Office, and then the image file
your client is attempting to merge/convert directly into
Powerpoint would run fine.

IOW, if the file converts in Word, it SHOULD convert into
Powerpoint.

However, I would certainly take the advice to check with the
MS Office or MS Powerpoint groups first.

Good luck!

Sorry to barge in here like this - but can't get 'New' question to work.
which is
why I have to go via the 'Reply' route to this thread - which is reasonably
applicable in my own case.

My friend already posted same at PowerPoint forum, et al. Just trying to
cover all
the bases because a search at several applicable forums and Windows/Office
Support led nowhere. I've had some good solutions to non-XP related issues
here before from some across-the-board experts and hoping for same now.

Is there any way to 'convert', import', 'insert' or 'copy', etc., a
pwerpoint slide
or file or whatever you call it into Word so I can process it in there. I
don't
understand PP and no time now to learn it. Can't get it to work right in
'portrait'
view (need to convert from Landscape view); nor can I get it to work right
with
header/footer (put page no's at bottom) - tho' I see them in their 'Notes'
view. Won't print out.

Any quick solutions? I need to urgently process a big .ppt file somebody
sent me.

Thanks in advance,
