Adobe pdf external links not working properly

We have a document with several external links using specific destinations.
The first time you click on a link it takes you to the proper destination.
If you click on other links within the destination document and then click
the original link again, in the source document, it no longer goes to the
same destination, but instead to some other random page. If you clear the
IE6 cache close IE and reopen, the link works again until after you browse
around, then it breaks again. I should point out that when using Firefox it
works fine everytime.

Thanks Jon, we already tried solution #2. Since this is going on an
extranet for our client, we cannot dictate that they change their version of
Adobe or use a different browser.
